This 4″x6″ cloisonné enamel tile depicts a mermaid looking out to sea, with a strong wind blowing her thick, curly hair and kicking up some waves. She could easily be looking either west from Africa or east from the Caribbean. This tile is securely mounted on masonite board with a very watery art-paper background, and framed in a contemporary black frame.
